Whistleblower Attorney Explains Misuse of Funds

Video Transcript:

Judy Maggio:

What are some 2022 whistleblower cases you should be on the look out for?

Jason Brown:

A big topic in 2022 that you're gonna be seeing unsealed are a lot of Payroll Protection Program, the PPP program, in which unscrupulous employers... And I use that term loosely, employers, 'cause some people don't even have any employees, use that money for their own personal gain. The PPP may have different meaning 'cause there could be Pokemon... There is one individual who bought $65,000 worth of Pokemon cards with government money. P for Porsches, 'cause some of these guys bought cars with the money instead of putting it towards employees that should have been apportioned to. And also P for Phantom, where there's just phantom employees that never existed that they received money for and pocketed the ill-gotten gains.
