About Phillip

With Colorado injury lawyer Phillip on your side, you can rest assured that you are in good hands with an accomplished and highly qualified lawyer. He is esteemed by his peers and clients alike for his competitive legal abilities and commitment to strong ethics. Phil has the utmost respect for his clients and regularly shares about how their strength and fortitude continues to inspire him. He is a tough, dedicated lawyer that is truly passionate about fighting for his clients so that they get the support that they deserve.

As an injury lawyer in Colorado, his legal practice experience of over 16 years has provided him with a competitive edge. When it comes to representing individuals that have been injured, as well as their impacted families, Phil knows the tactics that the other side is likely to use. His career in law began with him sharpening his skills as a formidable courtroom competitor while serving as an assistant district attorney. He served in over 50 jury trials in Galveston County. From there, he worked in criminal law for 3 years, and then entered civil litigation for builders, developers, physicians, and hospitals. Working in these fields provided many useful insights for Phillip, and he ultimately chose to put his expertise to good use by helping those who need it most, the injured. To this day, he believes that joining Metier Law Firm, LLC to support personal injury victims has been "the best decision he ever made."

Phil graduated with a bachelors in Political Science from the University of Colorado. He then earned his Jurist Doctorate from the University of Texas School of Law, a law school that continues to rank among the top 15 law schools in America. Since then he has become a member of several professional associations, and he has earned the rating of Distinguished, a BV rating by peers in Martindale Hubbell.

Phil’s community efforts include serving as a member of the Board of Directors for The Chanda Plan Foundation and the President of his homeowners association. In the past, Phil has co-led continuing education sessions for nurses at the University of Colorado. He has also worked with the Risk Management Department and Dr. Richard Martinez at the University of Colorado Medical School. His work with the Medical school involved acquainting future surgeons with the valuable ethics model.
