California Attorney Explains Where Injured Workers Can Seek Help

Video Transcript:

Molly Hendrickson:

Does OSHA represent workers who have been injured or killed in on-the-job accidents?

Michelle West:

No, OSHA is simply a regulatory agency that prepares and reviews safety standards for workplaces, they do not represent workers. They try to make a safe workplace for workers, and they will issue citations to employers, if their workers are injured at the employment site, if it is through the fault of the employer. But a workers' comp attorney or a personal injury attorney should be contacted, if a worker gets injured.
