If my workers' comp claim is denied in Maryland, what should I do? We asked Maryland attorney, Gwen-Marie Davis Hicks, for this Ask The Lawyers Quick Question.
Gwen-Marie Davis Hicks:
Call an attorney. There's an appeals process and there's a few steps you could do just to see what's going on. That's not unusual at all for a Workers' Compensation claim to be denied for various reasons, but you definitely wanna call your attorney so we could get to the Workers' Compensation Commission, file an appeal and go from there. So, call us right away.
