California Motorcycle Accident Attorney Explains

Video Transcript:

Molly Hendrickson:

Can a motorcycle passenger make an insurance claim if injured in an accident while on the bike?

Claude Wyle:

Yes, of course they can. They can make an insurance claim against the offending driver who hit the bike, they can make an insurance claim against the person who's operating the bike, and if the passenger has their own motorcycle insurance, they can make an uninsured motorist claim against their own policy. So there's three avenues: the offending vehicle, the offending operator, probably your friend, and your own policy if you've got motorcycle insurance, so sometimes it's a mix of all of these, and you need a good lawyer to sort out which policy should be first.
