Columbus Car Accident Attorney Explains

Video Transcript:

Tom Mustin:

Is uninsured or underinsured car insurance required in Ohio?

Michelle Martin:

It's not required, but it's very necessary. Underinsured, Uninsured Motorist coverage protects you. It makes sure that if you're hit by a hit-skip, which is a hit-and-run, or you're hit by someone who has pretty minimal policy limits, but if you're injured and your injuries... Your medical bills exceed the insurance of the at-fault party, your own Uninsured, Underinsured Motorist coverage will come into play and take care of your injuries just as if the other person had your policy limits.
