John P. Cole is a lawyer with his own practice in Macon, Georgia. Mr. Cole handles a variety of business, employment, estate planning, and litigation matters.
Prior to opening the Law Office of John P. Cole, he served as General Counsel and Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Macon State College and as Interim Dean of Macon State’s School of Business. He previously worked at Mercer University as General Assistant to the President and Secretary of the Corporation; Vice President for University Admissions; and Vice President for Charitable and Estate Planning.
Mr. Cole is a Georgia native and received his bachelor’s degree in history from Harvard University. A 1991 magna cum laude graduate of Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law, Mr. Cole worked as an associate at the Macon law firm of Anderson, Walker & Reichert from 1991 to 1994. Mr. Cole is a Master in the William A. Bootle American Inn of Court, a past president of the Macon Bar Association, and a graduate of Leadership Georgia. Mr. Cole is the founding instructor for Mercer Law School’s course on Military Law, and he has taught Mercer’s courses on contract drafting and employment discrimination.
