Rob Rosenthal:

I have a Quick Question for you from askthelawyers.com. Do you know if New York has 50-50 child custody? Here’s attorney Chaim Steinberger with the answer.

Chaim Steinberger:

So child custody is one of the most complicated issues, and we do not have a statutory presumption of 50/50. The 50/50 presumption is somewhat controversial and many people are against it. Most scholars in this area say we need to look at the specific circumstances of each case and make the decision that's right for these children now and in the future.
