Virginia Injury Lawyer Explains How to Deal with Insurance Companies

Video Transcript:

Rob Rosenthal:

What do you do if the insurance company says you're responsible for a serious car accident, let's ask Virginia Lawyer Greg Webb for an Ask The Lawyers Quick Question.

Greg Webb:

The first thing they should do is notify their insurance company, and this is assuming that the crash is over and police and medical personnel have already done their jobs, but then notify your insurance company that you were in an accident, that you may be responsible, and then give your insurance company all of the information you have about that crash, including perhaps the officer's name, a crash report, if that's been developed yet, names of witnesses, and then your insurance company will take over, will hire an attorney or attorneys to help you and guide you through the whole process.
