Rob Rosenthal:

What should you do if you or a loved one are injured because of an Instant Pot cooker malfunction? We asked lawyer George McLaughlin in this Ask the Lawyers Quick Question.

George McLaughlin:

Someone's hurt by a pressure cooker lid opening under pressure, first they should seek the medical treatment they need. Second, preserve all the evidence, take photographs of the mess that it made. Don't do anything with the product. I wouldn't even clean it, and third, call an attorney.
