Ohio Civil Rights Attorney Explains

Video Transcript:

Tom Mustin:

What are the first steps someone with a prior felony conviction should take if they want to restore their civil rights? We ask attorney Michelle Martin in this Ask the Lawyers Quick Question.

Michelle Martin:

Well, the first thing they should do is make sure that all your court fines and fees have been paid, make sure that you don't have any outstanding warrants and before... I guess before or after you do that, you contact a lawyer to see if they can maybe do a quick 15-minute consultation to tell you whether or not those things have already been taken care of.
