Rob Rosenthal:

If you're injured in a car crash, will doctors always know right away if you have a TBI? We ask Alabama lawyer Sara Williams in this Ask the Lawyers Quick Question.

Sara Williams:

TBIs or traumatic brain injuries I have found are the least diagnosed injury in motor vehicle collision cases and so what is important, unless you have a very obvious traumatic brain injury, so you have a brain bleed, you've suffered a loss of consciousness, most of the time at the emergency room, they really don't do the work up, that's been my experience. And so it's really important if you're having headaches, memory loss, if you suffer any sort of loss of consciousness to follow up with a physician and report those things so that you can get the appropriate treatment.
