This video features Claude Wyle, a Personal Injury attorney based in California.
Rob Rosenthal:
If you're injured in a bicycle crash and you think a problem with your bike might have been a factor, why should you call an attorney? We ask San Francisco lawyer Claude Wyle for this Ask the Lawyers Quick Question.
Claude Wyle:
Absolutely, Rob, they need to call an attorney right away. They need to preserve that bike as evidence. We have many, many cases where it's either been a defective bicycle part or bad maintenance, somebody might have done something wrong, put some brake pads in backwards, who knows what. We've had the gamut of cases where the bike shop has done something wrong and it has caused a very serious injury, you need to call a lawyer right away so that they can hire the investigators and the engineers and the bicycle mechanics who are specialized in this kind of thing to evaluate whether a defect in that bicycle has played a part in causing your injuries.
