Arizona Lawyer Explains Contingency Fees

Video Transcript:

Tom Mustin:

How can I afford to hire a lawyer? We ask Arizona Attorney Ryan Skiver in this Ask The Lawyers quick question.

Ryan Skiver:

For personal injury cases, we actually work on what's called a contingency, so it's basically a no-fee guarantee where you don't have to pay anything up front, we get paid if and when we recover money for you. We cover the costs of the litigation going forward so that you don't have to worry about those headaches, and then if and when we're able to get the case settled with your approval, then the attorney's fees and costs come out of there, so you don't actually pay anything out of pocket.
