What happens if a person is a victim of a crime while at a hotel?

Steve Grover:

Unfortunately, if someone is a victim of a crime at a hotel. Hopefully, there's no negligence, kind of security kind of claim that occurred from the hotel, but if there is, make sure that 911 is called, the police show up at the scene. They can investigate the claim. If there's a negligence matter that occurred, someone broke into the hotel room and attacked a the patron, at the hotel, that shouldn't be happening. There could be negligence against the hotel, and I would recommend reaching out to a law firm like ourselves who deals with premise liability claims and have held hotels' negligence for unsafe premises to know what your legal rights are, and see if there's any kind of recourse we can take against that hotel if someone's a victim of a violent act on the premises of a hotel.
