TBI Symptoms to Watch For

How to Tell if Someone Has a Traumatic Brain Injury

Video Transcript:

Christine Haas:

What are common symptoms of a traumatic brain injury? We asked Arizona attorney Timothy Tonkin for this AskTheLawyers Quick Question.

Timothy Tonkin:

Common symptoms of traumatic brain injury can be headaches, loss of concentration, prone to anger or irritation easily, sensitivity to light or sound, failure to remember, usually short-term memory, things that just recently occurred... We see most often personality changes with people with traumatic brain injury. Most of their friends or family would just say they're not the same as they were before they got hit in the head or this traumatic event caused them this injury.
