Pradaxa Lawsuits Expected to Come to Trial in August

U.S. courts will begin to hear cases against Boehringer Ingelheim over its stroke prevention pill Pradaxa (dabigatran) in August.

According to Reuters, the drug maker is facing more than 2,000 lawsuits in the U.S. over claims the drug has caused cases of severe and fatal bleeding. The news service reported that a handful of bellwether trials would be used as a reference for remaining cases and out-of-court settlements.
