Smith expresses his particular gratitude for the influence of one of his grandfathers who took him under his wing and helped bring him up as a sort of second father. The effect his family had on his life in many ways shaped him into the man he became and instilled in him a desire to help those in need. This desire would lead him to personal injury law later in life.
After moving to Longview, Smith met and married a lovely woman who later became his wife, and together they had a son who they are both very proud of. The effect of family on his life not only occurred in his youth, but continues now and reminds him of the everyday struggles and priorities of people around him. This empathy helps him to better serve the personal injury clients who come his way, searching for ways to repair not only their physical injuries, but their financial stability and the life of their own family as well.
Smith claims that personal injury is the most rewarding field of law to practice. He and the other attorneys at Sloan Firm do not represent corporate entities; rather, they represent everyday people who have suffered terrible circumstances and are in need of help via the legal system and fair compensation. Smith believes in helping injured clients get back on their feet in every area of their lives, and he is committed to providing resources and the best legal aid possible to victims of personal injury. Smith, like most reputable personal injury lawyers, does not charge his clients unless and until he is able to win a case for them. This allows his clients to focus on healing and recovery rather than worry about how to pay an exorbitant legal bill. If you or a loved one have suffered a personal injury, reach out and see what a personal injury lawyer can do for you.

I'm originally from the Fort Hood area. Both my granddads were in the Army and they made that their career, and I was blessed to have at least one of my granddad really take me under his wing and bring me up, and he was in many ways a second father.
I moved out here to Longview, Texas in 2011.
I met my wife out here who is far better than I deserve, and we have a very, very good 3-year-old little boy who I'm very, very proud of.
I think personal injury is the most rewarding way to practice law. We don't represent corporate entities. The majority of the people that we represent are everyday folks. Everyday folks who have had something terrible happen in their lives and they're just trying to get by and try to get through to tomorrow and get their feet underneath them. And we get to help them do that.
