About Connor

Connor Barbe has been involved with the Sloan Law Firm since 2015, first as an intern and now as a lawyer. Upon graduating with his J.D. from Southern Methodist University's Dedman School of Law, Connor accepted a full-time associate position with the firm in 2019.

After interning multiple summers with the Sloan Law Firm, Connor knew he wanted to become a trial lawyer. One of his fondest memories as an intern was working with the firm's partners on a week-long arbitration in 2016.

"I saw the tremendous impact that our advocacy had on our client who was depending on us. That's when I knew I wanted to become a trial lawyer."

Throughout law school, Connor was involved in the SMU Civil/Consumer law clinic where he provided representation for low-income clients in the Dallas area federal and state courts with the assistance of the SMU faculty. He was also a member of various mock trial teams, where he honed in on oral advocacy.

In 2018, Connor was one of four students throughout the country to be selected as an intern at the prestigious Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyers College. There, he worked with experienced trial lawyers from around the country on how to prepare and advocate in trial.

Connor is a native of Longview and a graduate of the University of Arkansas.
