Child Dies At Bradenton Day Care

A Bradenton day care may close because of a child’s death.

According to Bay News 9, a 4-month-old girl died at Children’s Academy of Southwest Florida in Bradenton on January 7, and state investigators say there is “video evidence a daycare worker did not follow proper policy when caring for the child.”

A report by the Department of Children and Families (DCF) suggested that a worker placed the child in a swing and used a blanket to prop a bottle next to the baby so she could feed herself. The baby was then allegedly placed in the crib without being burped.

The child was later found unresponsive.
