Is The Bikes & Beers Ride Safe?

According to the San Diego Free Press, a group of bicyclists are organizing a four hour ride to highlight local craft brewing businesses. The 26-mile ride will take place on March 29 at 9:30 a.m. Organizers hope that the event will be an example of the San Diego cycling community’s ability to ride responsibly while promoting local businesses. Hopefully, the Hillcrest business owners who are skeptical of the bike infrastructure expansion will come around to the prospect after they see the kind of business that bicycling brings to a neighborhood. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to BikeSD, an organization dedicated to promoting bicycling interests in the city.

While San Diego remains in a period of growth bike-wise, motorists still need time to adjust to sharing the road with cyclists. As such, cyclists should proceed with caution and watch out for negligent motorists. If you or a loved one has been injured in a bicycle accident, our San Diego bicycle accident attorneys can help.
