A fatal Colorado accident reminds us all to take our time on the roads.

A Colorado accident on U.S. Highway 40 between Kit Carson and Hugo left seven people dead after a head-on collision. According to the Colorado state patrol, the collision occurred on Friday, June 26th when a Ford F150 towing a boat attempted to pass a semi-truck but collided with a Chevrolet Silverado traveling the opposite direction.

The F150 towing the boat burst into flames and all four of the occupants were killed, killing three occupants in the other truck and critically injuring one more. This tragic accident highlights the importance of safe driving practices. Getting to a destination on time is not nearly as important as getting to a destination safely.

Attorney Grant Lawson advises drivers to avoid taking unnecessary risks and practice defensive driving whenever possible.

Attorney Grant Lawson has seen a wide variety of vehicle accidents. He points out that horrible accidents like this remind us of the dangers which occur when we are in too much of a hurry and prone to making serious or even fatal mistakes. With summer upon us and everyone eager to get to their destinations, this can be a recipe for impatient, distracted, and even impaired driving. However, this puts everyone at risk and a momentary lapse in judgment could result in a lifetime of pain for ourselves or someone else.

Lawson advises drivers to take their time, avoid unnecessary risks, and practice safe, smart, and defensive driving on the roads at all times to avoid pain, suffering, and fatality of our own passengers and the loved ones of others.
